Why is it important to have a professional service team turn on your irrigation system in the spring?

A professional spring start up process should be performed to ensure the system is in top working order. It is “NOT” simply – “just turning on the valve”.  

Our team will ensure that your system has not been compromised over the winter months and is running at its highest efficiency.  You can expect that our team will:

  • Assess and fix system leaks

  • Replace and adjust sprinkler heads for proper coverage

  • Review and adjust control panel and sensors

  • Provide feedback on overall system performance and further optimization strategies as well as answer any question you may have

When is the best time to have your irrigation system turned on?

An irrigation system spring start-up is yearly dependent and is determined by when the ground thaws, however the typical timeframe of when we begin our system start-ups is April 15th- May 31st.  Please contact our team to find out when we will be in your area!

What are some other ways to prepare your yard for spring?

Watering your lawn and foliage is important for continued growth, however it is also pivotal to set the stage for a gorgeous and lush property by a spring yard clean up:

  • Walking around the property and remove all debris.

  • Remove dead grass, leaves, thatch and loosen areas of compacted soil by giving your lawn a deep raking and/or aeration

  • Fertilize

  • Seed any bare areas

  • Pruning shrubs of any dead branches to allow for new growth
